What is it? Why is it important? Knowing and implementing the materials available is a huge factor to students' learning process. Teachers must be aware of all that is provided for them, but they must also be willing to look beyond this realm and find the tools and resources that they can use. The term "resources" does not refer to only things that students can use inside of the classroom, but instead it also includes tools that teachers themselves can use to help them prepare and teach their lessons, things that students can use outside of the classroom, and tools designed to assist students. All such resources need to be implemented by teachers to ensure that their students are being challenged. What are the key elements involved? Resources for classroom use: Materials are related to what is being studied in the classroom. Resources to extend content knowledge and pedagogy: Teachers are using materials to grow professionally. Resources for students: The materials used are at an appropriate difficulty level for the students. How will I implement this component of Danielson's Framework into my classroom?
I will be aware of all resources available to me that are provided by the school
I will use Pinterest, Twitter, and other online tools to gather ideas for my classroom
I will attend professional development conferences to be sure that I stay knowledgeable of new resources that are available
